Where you drink your coffee is as personality-revealing as how you take it, yes? I think so, and Joshua does, too. He’s the interior designer behind Brewshot, where I spotted him with Filomena from yesterday’s post. If you haven’t been, you must go. They pull Blue Bottle (I know!) espresso and brew Plowshares coffee. It’s a nice, warm space that can afford you hours of productivity. When you go, don’t just stop to smell the coffee, notice the marble countertop, the rope cavitied between the countertop and bar, and the letter “B” carved on the wood panelings strewn about the shop. It’s my new favorite Jersey City spot, and I suspect that Brewshot will soon be crowded by creative-gig-hoppers, style and design arbiters, and serious crop-to-cup coffee connoisseurs.
And no, I didn’t get paid or bribed with a year’s supply of coffee to write this. Although that would’ve been swell.
